How Utoo works

Every report goes through a human review before it is ever shown publicly. Here is exactly what happens from submission to publication.

  1. 1

    Someone files a report

A logged-in user describes what happened — amounts, dates, service type, and category. They attach proof of transaction (UPI receipt, bank statement, chat screenshot) and confirm under attestation that the account is true to their knowledge.

  2. 2

    Our team reviews it

Every report starts as 'held' and is completely invisible to the public. A member of the Utoo team reads the facts, checks the evidence, and decides whether to approve, reject, or request changes. Nothing auto-publishes.

  3. 3

Approved reports go public — with caveats

Only approved reports appear on a provider's profile. A single report shows a 'not yet corroborated' notice. Two or more independent reports trigger a 'Pattern' badge — a stronger signal to future customers.

  4. 4

The named person can always respond

Every profile has a 'Claim or dispute' button. The named person can submit a response or dispute the profile at any time. Admin reviews it and can publish their reply alongside the reports — giving both sides a voice.

🔒Reporter identity never public

📎Proof required to submit

Who can file a report?

Anyone who has directly transacted with the service provider. You need a free account to submit — this creates accountability and prevents anonymous abuse.

Is my identity shown publicly?

No. Your name, phone number, and account details are never shown publicly. Only the facts you describe, the category, and the amount are visible on the profile.

What if a report is false?

You can claim or dispute any profile. Utoo also reserves the right to remove reports that do not meet our factual standards. Filing a knowingly false report is the reporter's legal responsibility.

What kinds of providers can be reported?

Any individual service provider who doesn't have a physical, Google-reviewable presence: landlords, apartment/land brokers, painters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, movers, interior designers, and more.
